Venus is the second planet from the Sun and other than the moon, it the brightest object in the sky. In Earth days, it takes 224.7 days to orbit the Sun. At the surface of Venus, the winds are very slow, but the top clouds are strong. Due to it's dense atmosphere, there are no craters because it is thought that the meteors burn up before hitting the ground. At one times, scientists say that venus was covered with water it was closer to the sun than Earth so it dried up.
